S.DOT from Buckroe Virginia. I produce and make beats.

How did you come up with the name?
I didn't come up with the name, it was given to me by friends. It's a long story but like a lot of my life stories it starts with a couple of beers ha ha!

Tell us about your studio set-up/space
I use the HATED Fruity Loops Studios, Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Studio, and Akai Professional MPD32 MIDI/USB . Nothing too fancy but i think it gets the job done.

How did you become a music producer?
I've always loved music so I started off trying to rap and I think I was good for like 5 minutes and quit. Then a friend of mine started making beats. I tried it and It's been a wrap ever since.

Who are your biggest influences?
Man, there are so many but my all time favorite producers are Alchemist and Rza.

What encourages you to carry on with music?
My fiance she is very supportive.

What do you think about the music industry and independent hip hop at the moment and where do you think things are going in the next few years?
I pretty much hate all of the industry music as of right now and as far as the future, I'm not really sure but if something doesn't happen hip hop will be the next pop...

What is your biggest personal music achievement?
Man, everytime i make a new fan it is a personal best.

What is your next project, any big plans coming up?
Well Lucas Korek and I started 2012 Productions and right now I'm focusing alot of time and energy into that. I also have an S.Dot remix album in the beginning stages.
